Hi Amigos!
Welcome back :)
Today’s episode is another quick quote!
It’s one I stumbled upon on Instagram through @Jayshetty. I highly recommend you guys follow him, he has great insight and has a great podcast as well! I’ll leave all links in the show notes below!
To give you a bit of background as to why I chose this quote, I’m gonna take you back. About 2 weeks ago I released an episode all about my journey of co-writing for Gloria Estefan’s single Cuando Hay Amor which is part of her album #Brazil305, which if you listened to that episode you know that it was nominated for Latin Grammy for Best Tropical Album. Well… last week I didn’t release an episode because it was Thanksgiving and I was in the moment with family, and so we haven’t caught up! The album won the Latin Grammy that night and I still can’t believe that I am able to say I was part of a Latin Grammy win. Which brings me to the quote:
It’s important to realize that you are living inside one of your answered prayers while you wait for your next one. There’s always a place for gratitude.
I read this quote last Thursday on Thanksgiving and I realized that that was one of my answered prayers. Something I had wanted for so long and felt so happy and proud of. It was a beautiful celebration of hard work and lots of good energy. This quote just brought it all back. This holiday season I hope we are all able to look at the answered prayers this year has provided for us and allows us to be grateful for them while we work towards those new prayers.
As creatives we are very good at discarding our hard work and dedication to our craft. It takes a lot to do what we do. It takes energy, positivity, kindness, failure, perseverance. It takes so much of us! We have to remember to be able to celebrate our accomplishments and not forget the hard work it took to get us there. Even being grateful for the things that haven’t arrived yet. Make a list - the wishes you are grateful came true this year and the wishes you know are right around the corner. Be grateful for all of it, it’s all a part of the journey.
