I am coming to you - LIVE - from Madrid, Spain! Can't believe I'm actually here I've always wanted to make this move. I recently heard someone say, “I don't want someone to watch me on my journey, I want them to join me. I want to take them along with me on this journey. That's how I feel! This Podcast is all about sharing my authentic journey with you all. It's a place to share what's on my heart and build community and connection.
In today's episode I share my take on the quote "Don't look back, you're not going that way." If you follow me on instagram than you might’ve already seen my most recent post where I wrote a little something that goes like this:
Sometimes you need to leave a place to realize how much it taught you. How much it gave you. I always thought going to LA meant I’d find my career. I never thought I’d leave knowing I found the real kind of love. The love for the friends I made for life, the love of really long hikes, the love for endless hours in the car driving and blasting music and crying lol. I found a sanctuary in the middle of a global pandemic there. I built my own family there. I never could have imagined those 4 years. But like always, there’s the unknown. The only thing that’s certain is change, right? But I think there’s always a part of us that wants to stay in the comfort. The known. The familiar. It’s just easier that way.
But the truth is that we can’t look back because we’re not going that way. We have to keep going forward. Like an arrow. Shooting towards something great. Going towards what makes us happy. Taking the good and the bad of our experiences with us cuz they make us who we are.
Before leaving all I kept saying was thank you and now that I’ve left, it’s what I keep thinking about. Cuz LA really gave me a new chapter of my life I didn’t know I needed. A time to find myself and eliminate parts of me that were no longer necessary. To grow and become the woman I’ve wanted to become. And to know that this next chapter, although strange and exciting and unknown, will do the same thing in its own way. that’s the only thing I can be sure of for now ♥️
