Hi Amigos!
Welcome back to another episode!
Want to start off by saying THANK YOU!! We charted on 2 more Apple Podcasts! This time in Russia!! We have officially charted on 10 Apple Podcast Charts!! It’s so cool to know that the show is being listened to all over the world! I can’t wait to continue connecting with all of you - let’s keep this going :)
Alright, back to the show - A few weeks ago I asked you guys to send me any questions you had about my move to Madrid. Soooo in today’s episode I answer all your questions! I went ahead and outlined them here for the sake of this blog, but you can listen to the entire episode wherever you listen to Podcasts! I also attempted to do an IG live whilst recording for the pod, but it didn’t work so I just re-recorded a separate video on my IG - if you prefer video format, you can check it out here.
Would you consider living there full time?
Yes, 1 year for now
Blog post coming soon - What I Learned My First Week in Madrid
Blog post coming soon - 5 things I love the most about this city
What are some of the challenges you faced?
Apartment hunting
Metro and bus schedules
time change with my job in EST
What are your goals while living there?
Indulge myself in the culture
Get more aligned with my creativity, what really brings me joy
Do you have any family/friends there?
Yes, my dad is Spanish and so I have cousins and 2 of my friends are getting their masters here
How has your Spanish evolved from living gin Miami, LA, and now Madrid?
SO much. It’s my first language. Didn’t practice it as much in LA. While in Miami it’s what we speak at home. Since moving to Madrid, it’s all I speak. So much so that I have found myself actually forgetting certain things in English!
How are you adjusting?
Fairly well I think! ha!
Counting my blessings
How do you plan on meeting people?
Going out
Friends of friends
How long are you there for?
For now December, but time will tell! Maybe more?
Why did you move?
Needed a change
Been talking bout it for a long time
Felt like the right time
What helped you decide?
Many things - family, roommate, boyfriend, career
But mostly the fact that I knew I’d regret it if I didn’t do it and that was a bigger risk to take for me personally.
